Síndrome de Burnout común entre los empleados

Sentimientos como agotamiento, apatía y desmotivación en el trabajo, pueden ser algo más que una emoción momentánea y convertirse en un síntoma propio del síndrome de Burnout, el cual afecta aproximadamente a 40% de la población laboral en México, y es debido a la falta de información sobre el tema que su detección se ve entorpecida.

 

¿Cómo saber si padezco el síndrome de Burnout?

 

Aunque en un principio el síndrome de Burnout fue detectado en la década de los 70 entre la población enfocada principalmente al ámbito médico. En la actualidad es un término que se ha generalizado siendo válido para cualquier profesión. Dicho síndrome es detonado por un excesivo agotamiento emocional, el cual se conecta con: Ausentismo laboral, cambio constante de trabajo y abandono del mismo.

De acuerdo la investigación realizada por académicos de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), el síndrome de burnout puede ser detectado si se presentan algunos de estos síntomas:

  • Agotamiento emocional, fatiga y depresión.
  • Desmotivación
  • Insatisfacción en el trabajo
  • Un pobre desempeño
  • Estrés prolongado.

¿Cómo hacer frente al problema?

 

Aunque es difícil realizar una detección oportuna y acertada del síndrome de burnout, existen distintas medidas que como empleador puedes tomar para disminuir la presencia de este padecimiento en la empresa. Algunas de ellas son:

  1. Horarios flexibles
  2. Días libres
  3. Distribución equitativa de trabajo
  4. Sesiones de manejo de estrés
  5. Capacitación
  6. Reconocimiento al buen desempeño
